Theremin and Ondes Martenot workshop weekend
 
The workshop is organised by Bate Collection, the Museum of Music Instruments at the Music Faculty of Oxford University. It is led by Lydia Kavina and Charlie Draper.

The weekend program consists of beginners and advanced workshops of theremin, presentation for general audience, an ensemble session and improvisations. Charlie Draper will present an introduction to the Ondes Martenot. There will be also a recital of both instruments with piano accompaniment at Denis Arnold Hall on 11 May. Lydia and Charlie would also be available for individual theremin lessons.

This is a practical class open to theremin players of each levels.in which technique, ensemble playing and interpretation will be explored. Students will recieve  guidance on their playing in one-to-one session and a rare opportunity to try themselfs as a part of theremin orchestra.
